Sun Valley Suns just weeks from first contest Hockey fans, get ready. The Sun Valley Suns have started practice and are currently preparing for their first game this Dec. 1 and 2 against McCall. Led by head coach Chris Benson, the Suns of S-Town have been practicing two times a week at the Sun Valley Ice Rink to prepare for their upcoming season. Their first home weekend is Dec. 15 and 16, when they take on the Park City Silver Kings, who changed their name from Generals. The Suns beat Park City handily last year. "I think it looks great," said Benson, when asked for the outlook on the team. "We have some new bodies that will help a lot. Both our goalies look good..." Benson was referring to new additions Adam Swain, John Dubal and Blake Jensen. The team has just five more practices before they hit the ice for their first game, and Benson so far likes what he sees. "We're looking forward to it," he said.
